New Digha

New Digha, where the hotel is located, is the newer section of the town with the beach that is suitable for a holiday. The latest attraction of New Digha is the Science Center established by the National Council of Science Museums. The Centre makes science an enjoyable learning experience.

Temple

8km from Digha, you will find a famous Shiva Temple (almost a century old) in Chandaneshwar. You can also visit Lankeswari Temple and Kapal Kundala Temple, which are both close to Contai.

Shankarpur

Shankarpur, a twin beach of Digha, is a recent discovery that is around 14km from Digha. It is now developed as a sea resort with hotels, offering nearly all the pleasures of a private beach with casuarina plantations. Apart from the long, tree-lined beach, the main attraction is the Shankarpur Fishing Harbour Project.

Junput Beach

Junput is located 40km from Digha and is famous for fishing. A center for studies in marine biology is the nucleus for the area's sea-fish research and shark oil extraction. Brackish water fish cultivation and research are done here by the State Government Fisheries Department. Those who are fans on winged creatures can visit a farm which breeds ducks.

How to Reach:

New Digha is located 185km from Kolkata and conveniently connected to the capital city by train and road networks:

Rail: Train services to Digha are available from Kolkata, with stops at Kanthi, Kharagpur and Mecheda etc.

Road: Kolkata-Digha Buses run to and fro on a daily basis, with a bus to catch almost every hour. You can take a bus from a terminus at Shahid Minar or Howrah in central Kolkata. The journey takes approximately five hours.

Air: NSC Bose International Airport (Kolkata) is the nearest airport with connections to all parts of the worlds.
